Researcher
I am currently a doctoral researcher at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. My research is situated in Performance Studies, Postcolonial Studies, Critical Race Theories and Queer Theory and is about “Queer Racialization” of ESEA (East and Southeast Asian) in the UK and their queer performance to disidentify the racial stereotypes.
I am an experienced educator who has taught varied theatre-related students both in the UK and Japan about multiple subjects. For example, I teach racism/racial stereotypes in theatre and how to combat them, autobiographical devising and acting for actors. I also teach and supervise students in producing and performance making.
